Become is operated by ILYSYN Systems, LLC ("ILYSYN", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Laredo, Texas, USA. This page contains our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. By using the Become app, you agree to both.

Privacy Policy Terms of Use

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Become app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

01Information We Collect

When you use Become, we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, and profile photo you provide when signing up (via email/password or social login with Google or Apple).
  • Content you create: goals, daily check-ins, streak progress, challenges, intermittent-fasting sessions, Pomodoro sessions, favorite affirmations, and the preferences you select during onboarding.
  • Usage and analytics data: in-app events (e.g., screens viewed, goals created, check-ins completed, subscription screen interactions) tied to a pseudonymous identifier, used to understand and improve the app.
  • Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, approximate time zone (used to deliver your daily affirmation at the right local time), IP address, and crash diagnostics.
  • Push notification token: a messaging token used to deliver reminders and the daily affirmation.
  • Subscription information: your purchase and subscription status for Become Premium. We never receive or store your full payment card details — payments are handled by Apple and Google.

02How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide the app's features and track your progress.
  • Deliver reminders and the daily affirmation push notification.
  • Manage Become Premium subscriptions and unlock premium status.
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve features through usage analysis.
  • Protect against abuse and enforce our Terms.

03Third-Party Services

Become relies on the following service providers, which may process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase — authentication (Firebase Auth), cloud database (Cloud Firestore), file storage (Firebase Storage), analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), crash reporting (Crashlytics), and push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
  • Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In — optional social login.
  • RevenueCat — manages and validates subscription entitlements.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — process all payments and subscription billing.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.

04Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit and strict database access rules) to protect your information. Your personal progress data is scoped to your own account and is not accessible to other users.

05Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your associated data is removed (see Section 7). Some technical logs may persist for a limited period for security and diagnostics.

06Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@ilysyn.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request access to or deletion of your data using the same contact above.

07Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

  • In the app: Settings → your profile → Delete account permanently.
  • By email: write to contact@ilysyn.com from your account email and we will process the deletion.

Deleting your account removes your profile, content (goals, check-ins, challenges, sessions, favorites), and stored files.

08Children's Privacy

Become is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

09International Users

We are based in the United States and process data on U.S.-based infrastructure provided by Google. By using the app, you understand your information may be processed in the United States.

10Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.

Terms of Use

By downloading, accessing, or using the Become app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

01Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Become. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (18 in most U.S. states), you may use the app only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf — including for any purchases.

02The Service

Become is a productivity and personal-development app that helps you pursue goals through habit tracking, time management (Pomodoro), intermittent fasting tracking, and motivational affirmations.

Tone notice: the app intentionally uses an energetic, direct, and at times "aggressive" motivational style to encourage progress. By using the app, you understand and accept this style of communication.

Not professional advice: Become is for general motivational and self-improvement purposes only. It does not provide medical, health, nutritional, psychological, financial, or other professional advice. Intermittent fasting and lifestyle changes can affect your health — consult a qualified professional before starting. You use the app at your own risk.

03User Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or show abusive behavior.

04Subscriptions and Payments (Become Premium)

The app offers in-app purchases for premium features (Become Premium).

  • Billing: payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account upon purchase confirmation.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Management: you can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
  • Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple and Google and are subject to their refund policies.

05User Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of the content you create in the app. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

06Intellectual Property

All original content, features, interface, design, and functionality of Become are the exclusive property of ILYSYN Systems, LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app without our written permission.

07Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Any progress or results depend solely on your own effort.

08Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ILYSYN Systems, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

09Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

10Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts located in Texas, USA.

11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
